Hold on a little longer

God is for you, Not against God puts dreams in our hearts and writes a destiny over our lives. And if we trust Him enough to take Him at His word, we will find ourselves on a journey toward the fulfillment of that dream. Unfortunately, the path that takes us to the promise is always wrought with thickets and thorns. Nothing worth having ever comes easy or without opposition. Storms will come, lions will roar, and our fears will be confronted. God allows the path to be difficult because He intends on refining us and preparing us for our place of promise. He is intent on extracting from us, that which our enemy would love to leverage against us. Society will make you feel like your timing for success is off . But the way my God is set up . Your never know when a blessing is coming. God loves us too much to promote us before we are ready. If you’re in a season of refining,  lean in . Trust the loving hand of your precious Savior and know that He will lead y

God's presence  The pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night guided the Israelites during their exodus from Egyptian bondage. This allowed them to travel by day and by night. Exodus 13:21–22 explains that God gave them the pillar of cloud by day to lead them in the way He wanted them to go and the pillar of fire by night to give light. The pillar was not just symbolism but a real phenomenon. We have no way of knowing how God made the pillar, but it was obviously a miraculous event that God used to lead them for their forty years in the wilderness. During the day the pillar guided their journey. During the night it gave light and, no doubt, comfort. In addition to guidance for the Hebrews, the pillar was a testimony to other nations concerning God’s involvement with and protection of His people Israel. In Exodus 14:24 God troubled the Egyptians through the cloud, and Moses used this in Numbers 14:14 in his plea to God to not destroy the Hebrews because of thei

Rest in the Lord

“Rest in the Lord, wait patiently for him to act …. Don’t fret and worry — it only leads to harm.” (Psalm 37:7-8 LB) When you pursue God’s dream for your life, you’re going to run into delays. God uses those waiting periods to prepare you and test you so that you can face whatever is coming in the next phase of your faith. Most of us tend to worry when we are delayed. We get stressed out. We complain. We become uptight. The Israelites, when God delayed their journey from Egypt to the Promised Land, reacted the same way: “On the way the people lost their patience and spoke against God and Moses. They complained” (Numbers 21:4b-5a GNT). The Israelites’ complaining and fretting were the sins that kept them out of the Promised Land. No matter what God did for them, they found something to gripe about. They had no water, so God provided water. Then they had no food, but when God provided food, they complained about the food they got. It’s easy to gripe when we’re forced to wait, is

FAITHFUL SERVANT

chasing after GOD The Kingdom of God is a present reality. It’s what we’re to be doing on the earth right now. The power of God is the present resource. It’s the energy you get to do what God wants you to do once you’re surrendered and submitted to his will. God’s glory is the reason. It’s not the reality or the resource. It is the present reason for everything. It’s all for God’s glory.Romans 11:36 says, “Everything comes from him and exists by his power and is intended for his glory” (NLT). One day, we will all have to stand before God and give an account of our lives. We slip into putting our prosperity above God’s kingdom and we have lost the spiritual perspective. We need to get out of the quicksand we've fallen into. We working for the food that perishes, but not for the food that endures to eternal life (John 6:27).When we build our lives on anything but God, that thing – though a good thing – becomes an enslaving addiction. We forgetting that if our ways are

Choosing Gratitude

The Bible is filled with commands to give thanks to God (Psalm 106:1; 107:1; 118:1; 1 Chronicles 16:34; 1 Thessalonians 5:18). Most verses go on to list reasons why we should thank Him, such as “His love endures forever” (Psalm 136:3), “He is good” (Psalm 118:29), and “His mercy is everlasting” (Psalm 100:5). Thanksgiving and praise always go together. We cannot adequately praise and worship God without also being thankful. Feeling and expressing appreciation is good for us. Like any wise father, God wants us to learn to be thankful for all the gifts He has given us (James 1:17). It is in our best interest to be reminded that everything we have is a gift from Him. Without gratefulness, we become arrogant and self-centered. We begin to believe that we have achieved everything on our own. Thankfulness keeps our hearts in right relationship to the Giver of all good gifts. As for me , “I am eternally grateful for all the wonderful things God has given me and shown me—not material

If I must boast, I will boast in the things which concern my infirmity. —2 Corinthians 11:30

Our loyalty to Jesus grows from His love for us. The apostle Paul was an avid first-century traveler, but he wasn’t in it for the “frequent-sailor miles.” His goal was to reach as many people as he could with the good news of forgiveness and eternal life through faith in Jesus. When some people in the city of Corinth questioned his authority, he wrote a letter describing the price he had paid to bring the gospel to others: “Three times I was beaten with rods; once I was stoned; three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I have been in the deep” (2 Cor. 11:25). God gave Paul the grace and endurance to risk his life to tell people about Jesus with no thought of personal gain. Whether we receive persecution or praise for our service to the Lord, may our focus always be loyalty to Him and gratitude for His sacrifice of love.  To modern-day followers of Christ, the apostle Paul is held in the highest regard for his tireless work of teaching, church-planting, and writing

The fall of the walls of Jericho

Have faith in God,it shall be well The name “Jericho” brings to mind Israelites marching, trumpets sounding and walls falling down. It is a wonderful story of faith and victory. The story of the walls of Jericho falling down, recorded in  Joshua 6:1–27 , is one that vividly demonstrates the miraculous power of God. However, their first obstacle was the city of Jericho ( Joshua 6:1 ), an unconquerable, walled city. Excavations there reveal that its fortifications featured a stone wall 11 feet high and 14 feet wide. At its top was a smooth stone slope, angling upward at 35 degrees for 35 feet, where it joined massive stone walls that towered even higher. It was virtually impregnable. the strategy to conquer the city of Jericho was unique in two ways. First, the strategy was laid out by God Himself, and, second, the strategy was a seemingly foolish plan. God simply told Joshua to have the people to march silently around Jericho for six days, and then, after seven circuits on the sev

living in the spirit

God has given to us His Spirit to make Him personal to each of us, to give us power to live this life, and has also given us gifts to communicate His power to the world. Romans 8 gives us a picture of the true Christian life. This life is possible, and God expects it from each one of us. The flesh is still in us, but we are not in the flesh (Romans 8:9, 12-13). It is our privilege, in the Spirit’s power, to have daily, hourly and constant victory over the flesh and over sin. But the victory is not in ourselves, not in any strength of our own. Left to ourselves, deserted by the Spirit of God, we would be as helpless as ever. It is all in the Spirit’s power. If we try to take one step in our own strength, we will fail. Has the Holy Spirit set you “free from the law of sin and death”? (Romans 8:2). Will you let Him do it now? Simply give up all self-effort to stop sinning. Believe in the divine power of the Holy Spirit to set you free, and give yourself to Him to do it. He will n

Hannah: A great woman of prayer

Image
God knows your story See, Grace's story is nothing more than the tale of Hannah (which means Grace) and her rival, Peninnah, or Penny for short. We find the story  in 1 Samuel 1 through 1 Samuel 2:1-21. Each year, Elkanah would take his two wives, Hannah and Peninnah, to Shiloh to present a sacrifice to God and worship the Lord at the Tabernacle there. And every year it was the same for Hannah: the same insulting comments from Peninnah; the same emptiness that her husband could never fill. She walked away with her deepest longing unmet. She desired children, yet God had not opened her womb. To make matters worse, Peninnah taunted Hannah concerning her barrenness. Although Elkanah loved Hannah and was very kind to her (1 Samuel 1:5, 8), Peninnah’s unkindness on top of her natural grief was too much for Hannah to bear. Hannah cried out to God about her situation. She promised the Lord that if He would give her a son, she would dedicate him to God as a Nazirite (a man set apart

Ruth : Anointed for a new beginning

Image
A great woman of loyalty. In a time where they believed the Gospel was only for the "Jews" a "Gentile" chose God. Ruth is more than a love story, its a story of faith and loyalty. The story of Ruth foreshadows the glorious act of salvation. The story of Naomi’s family and the way it endured is a universal theme. Even Ruth, a foreigner from the despised Moabites, could move God’s plan towards fulfillment. Ruth has special significance for Christians: Matthew’s genealogy of Jesus (Matthew 1:2-17) lists four women, and Ruth is one of them Ruth is an example of how God can change a life and take it in a direction He has foreordained, and we see Him working out His perfect plan in Ruth’s life, just as He does with all His children (Romans 8:28). Although Ruth came from a pagan background in Moab, once she met the God of Israel, she became a living testimonial to Him by faith. Even though she lived in humble circumstances before marrying Boaz, she believed

The Esther anointing : CALLED FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS

Image
CALLED FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS God wld 've saved the Jews with or without Esther's help. She didn't let pride get in the way. She chose to be part of God's plan. After reading the book of Esther i was like ''God whatever you are doing in this season do not do it without me. Lord, cultivate an obedient spirit in me, so I can be blessed with your divine favour like Esther!'' Just like in biblical times, God is positioning women today and giving them divine opportunities to influence the culture for His glory. The Esther Anointing gives you the keys to Esther's success, including the qualities that make women great, the power of influence, and the key to finding God's favor for your assignment. It doesn't matter where you came from or what skills and talents you have; if you let Him, God can use your life for His glory! Esther was willing to risk her life for the welfare of her people and the furthering of God's plan.

Unexpected

Sometimes saying the unexpected has the most effect. Think of this in regard to a statement by Jesus: “Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it” (Matt. 10:39). In a kingdom where the King is a servant (Mark 10:45), losing your life becomes the only way to find it. This is a startling message to a world focused on self- protection. Nothing is really lost by a life of sacrifice. -Henry Liddon In practical terms, how can we “lose our life”? The answer is summed up in the word  sacrifice . When we sacrifice, we put into practice Jesus’s way of living. Instead of grasping for our own wants and needs, we esteem the needs and well-being of others. Jesus not only taught about sacrifice but He also lived it by giving Himself for us. His death on the cross became the ultimate expression of the heart of the King who lived up to His own words: “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends” (John 15:13).

Becoming a Woman of Influence :Deborah annoiting

Becoming a Woman of Influence As in biblical times God is calling today’s women to a purpose greater than themselves. this month of AUGUST i want to take time to share more about the powerful women in the bible or i can say WOMEN on  GOD's wall of fame. i will start with the The Deborah Anointing that shows you that although you may have been trapped in tradition and locked into captivity by cultural and gender prejudices, God desires for you to break through these barriers. Now is the time to embrace the fullness of your purpose! Read Judges 4:1-5 to find out more about prophetess Deborah Deborah as a woman after God’s heart. She was a prophetess, visionary, full of passion, a general, a warrior, a praiser, an intercessor, a worshiper, a mother, a wife, a judge, a woman of balance, a woman of courage and a woman who made a difference. During this particular season of my life, God has been dealing with me about my Praise and speaking to me about the power in “release

The power of a simple prayer

The One Who Hears When you pray, remember the name of the One who hears. Jesus. Jesus has unimpeachable authority. “He sustains everything by the mighty power of his command” (Heb. 1:3 NLT). “God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name” (Phil. 2:9 NIV). The Roman government tried to intimidate him. False religion tried to silence him. The devil tried to kill him. All failed. Even “death was no match for him” (Acts 2:24 MSG). Jesus “disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross” (Col. 2:15 NLT). He was not kidding when he declared, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me” (Matt. 28:18 NIV). Jesus is the command center of the galaxies. “Two sparrows cost only a penny, but not even one of them can die without your Father’s knowing it” (Matt. 10:29 NCV). He occupies the Oval Office. He called a coin out of the mouth of a fish. He stopped the waves with a word. H

Jehovah-Tsidkenu - Lord our Righteousness

Jehovah-Tsidkenu - Lord our Righteousness Righteousness isn't a terribly popular word anymore so Jehovah-Tsidkenu, the Lord our Righteousness may not seem all that relevant in the 21st Century. We need to take a second glance however. This name of the Lord is one of the most powerful and comforting ones he has given us and an understanding will create a heart bursting with gratitude. Righteousness means morally right or justifiable but some of its synonyms help us more: blameless, guiltless, holy, innocent, just, sinless. When God revealed himself as "THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS" in the Old Testament (Jeremiah 23:5-8) the people were anything but sinless and guiltless. In fact, they were in the process of being hauled off into exile and captivity for their constant and longstanding sin, idolatry, and unfaithfulness to the Lord. They had been warned over and over through the prophets God had sent to them but their hearts were hard. Finally the judgment fell tho

He who promised is faithful!

Image
He who promised is faithful When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them on the road through the Philistine country, though that was shorter. Exodus 13:17 after the Israelites left Egypt, God led them “around by the desert road toward the Red Sea”. Though there were shorter routes, God led them a longer way around the desert and demonstrated His faithfulness and power. His faithful presence was with them in pillars of fire and cloud (Ex21–22), and He demonstrated His power by His miraculous deliverance of the Israelites from the pursuing Egyptians (Ex. 14). Our God is faithful, and we can trust Him to lead us and care for us no matter what we face. We may not understand the reason for the path we are on, but we can trust Him to help us grow in faith and maturity along the way.  His timing is always the best..his a good God!

God is present in our time of need- worship is everything

“Your most profound and intimate experiences of worship will likely be in your darkest days— when your heart is broken, when you feel abandoned, when you’re out of options, when the pain is great, and you turn to God alone.” - RICK WARREN  Suffering is the reality of the world we live in. And I wish I could tell you that you will never experience suffering yourself. In the book of Romans, Paul tells us that suffering entered the world through sin: "Against its will, all creation was subjected to God’s curse. But with eager hope, the creation looks for-ward to the day when it will join God’s children in glorious freedom from death and decay. For we know that all creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time." Romans 8:20-22 It seems that everywhere we look, we find more and more people truly living under suffering - millions through poverty, millions through slavery - and yet the beauty of Jesus is that He always brings hope, w

Expect Him -worship changes everything

David rose early to seek God, to place his life before Him. Early in the morning, when hope is at its loudest, when newness is represented across the universe, David prayed. Jonah waited until he was in the belly of the whale to finally cry out to God for salvation. Don’t wait until the middle or the end of a harsh season to inquire of God. Pray as David prayed: My soul thirsts, my flesh longs for you . . . even though all I see are dead branches and dry places, where everything in and around me feels like it’s taking its last breath. There is no water, but I’m looking at you, God, for your love is better than life! For David, everything in nature looked bleak, but a great statement of faith came from within him as his spiritual hunger and thirst were satisfied, as he worshiped God: “So here I am in the place of worship, eyes open, drinking in your strength and glory” (Psalm 63:2 The Message). He worshiped, expecting God’s presence. He lifted his hands as an expression of adoratio

GOD WANTS YOU TO HAVE A GOOD TIME...DON'T LOSE SIGHT OF THE JUDGMENT.

GOD'S ADVICE TO YOUNG PEOPLE  Here is a caution to think of death, even when life is most sweet. God is opposed to anything that diminishes our joy. What many think is a "good time" is actually self-abuse. Life is fleeting, so fear and obey God, for your own good. Rejoice, O young man, in your youth; and let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth, and walk in the ways of your heart, and in the sight of your eyes: but know you, that for all these things God will bring you into judgment.  Ecclesiastes 11:9 Solomon makes an effecting address to young people. They should desire opportunities to pursue every pleasure. Then follow your desires, but be assured that God will call you into judgment. How many give loose to every appetite, and rush into every vicious pleasure!. There is a whole world of possibilities and opportunities. There are many things you can do with your life. There are many places you can go. Enjoy life.  Being Young Is A Blessing

God is still looking for people that can represent Him

God has representatives in all generations- the ambassadors to save deliver and bring people to the Promised Land. The word of God says, “This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob”- Psalms 24:6. From these teachings, we should learn many things from the life of Joshua who was able to stand against different odds and made positive impact in his generation. Really, a God possessed personality is a God controlled personality. Joshua was an ordinary man who took extra-ordinary step and accomplished the impossible task. MEN OF FAITH; The Joshua generation are the “we are able” generation. God is looking seriously for the men of faith like Joshua. Remember that those who look to the past and fear the present is certain to miss the future. Faith is a winning force. It is an evidence of things unseen. Once it settles in the heart, fear flies away. Are you among the ‘faith and optimistic classes who are eager to possess the lands, families and nations for th

you’re not fighting alone.!!

You may have to fight some battles as you take possession of your Promised Land. . .but you’re not fighting alone. JEHOVAH NISSI! (PART 2) The Joshua generation praises him on a promise. Joshua 1:3 says Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses. – When God speaks a thing in your life, it becomes a promise. He doesn’t speak suggestions. When God speaks to you, it is a promise, he blesses it, and then it will become a done deal. It’s time to leave the past behind and move into the new things God has in store for you. It’s time to leave behind the old way of thinking and doing things as you embrace the new thing God wants to do in your lives.  Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses. As we journey through this life. . .we need to fully understand that everywhere our feet tread is holy ground because of the God we serve.  This realization will bring a bold

Joshua generation :victorious living in God 's promise (Part 1)

Joshua, Son of Nun, took up the mantle of leadership of the Israelites at the time of Moses death. Joshua was a strong and courageous young leader who led God's people fearlessly into the Promised Land… "Now Joshua son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him. So the people of Israel obeyed him and did everything just as the LORD had commanded Moses." Deuteronomy 34:9. Our lives are a series of preparation. They are preparatory moments that prepare us for a moment. Each event in your life is didactic. It is training and development. There are lessons in each experience we go through. It is important to keep your spiritual radar on so you don’t miss what God is saying in this season. You have to be sensitive to every event happening. Joshua 1:2 says Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel. A new chapter is a

Peace, be still ..Mark 4:39

Image
Even the winds and waves obey him! (Mark 4:35-41) The storms of life can be just as harsh for you in this final hour as they were for the disciples. Like the disciples, you need help. Make sure Jesus is on board your ship; make sure you really believe in Him and what He has said. Every word He speaks contains all might, all strength, all courage, all power to defeat whatever adversity that may come against you daily. Seeing Jesus in action only at times, the disciples were unaware of being bound by a lack of faith. When Jesus calmed the storm with such a great display of His mighty power, they were shocked. It seemed unreal. In their wildest dreams they had never imagined what they were about to see. In fact, Jesus was so calm in the face of disaster that they asked, Master, carest thou not that we perish ? This should teach us something. Just because the Lord is quiet, just because He does not always make Himself known, it does not mean He is not on board your ship or that He doe

JEHOVAH NISSI

Image
THE LORD MY BANNER (Exodus 17:15) As Jehovah Nissi did the Lord reveal Himself to Israel when He delivered His people from Amalek their enemy, "whose remembrance even the Lord would utterly put out from under Heaven," though He would "have war with him from generation to generation" (Exodus 17:14; 17:16).  In this passage Moses held God’s staff in his hand and as long as his hands and God’s staff were raised, Joshua and the Israelites won the war with the Amalekites. What I want us to pay particular attention to is that this battle was all about God. Joshua, Moses, Aaron, Hur, and the Israelite armies were simply vessels God used, but the battle itself was orchestrated by God. Moses knew this and wanted to make certain the Israelites knew it and remembered it. Nothing that he or they did in the physical realm brought about victory. God’s presence and power took them into the battle and assured the victory when the battle was done.  "The Lord is a man
