Joshua generation :victorious living in God 's promise (Part 1)

Joshua, Son of Nun, took up the mantle of leadership of the Israelites at the time of Moses death. Joshua was a strong and courageous young leader who led God's people fearlessly into the Promised Land… "Now Joshua son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him. So the people of Israel obeyed him and did everything just as the LORD had commanded Moses." Deuteronomy 34:9. Our lives are a series of preparation. They are preparatory moments that prepare us for a moment. Each event in your life is didactic. It is training and development. There are lessons in each experience we go through. It is important to keep your spiritual radar on so you don’t miss what God is saying in this season. You have to be sensitive to every event happening. Joshua 1:2 says Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel. Even the winds and waves obey him! (Mark 4:35-41) The storms of life can be just as harsh for you in this final hour as they were for the disciples. Like the disciples, you need help. Make sure Jesus is on board your ship; make sure you really believe in Him and what He has said. THE LORD MY BANNER (Exodus 17:15) As Jehovah Nissi did the Lord reveal Himself to Israel when He delivered His people from Amalek their enemy, "whose remembrance even the Lord would utterly put out from under Heaven," though He would "have war with him from generation to generation" (Exodus 17:14; 17:16).  In this passage Moses held God’s staff in his hand and as long as his hands and God’s staff were raised, Joshua and the Israelites won the war with the Amalekites. What I want us to pay particular attention to is that this battle was all about God. Joshua, Moses, Aaron, Hur, and the Israelite armies were simply vessels God used, but the battle itself was orchestrated by God. Moses knew this and wanted to make certain the Israelites knew it and remembered it. Nothing that he or they did in the physical realm brought about victory. God’s presence and power took them into the battle and assured the victory when the battle was done.  "The Lord is a man
