COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS …NAME THEM ONE BY ONE AND YOU WILL SEE WHAT GOD HAS DONE FOR YOU!

Counting our blessings suggests a certain way of looking at the world. When good things happen to us, how do we explain them? Some people chalk it up to luck, chance, fate, or the stars being in the proper alignment. Others give credit to their own hard work and effort. But as Christians, we should recognize these good things for what they are: blessings from God. They come, as Isaiah says, “from the abundance of God’s steadfast love.” Isaiah 63:7   Counting our blessings is always being humble and giving thanks for everything in life. We are thankful for Jesus Christ who is everything. We are thankful for food, friends, family, God’s Love. Appreciate everything in life because there are people who are starving and in a way harder situation than you. Your bad days are someones good days.

We human beings have the tendency to grumble and complain too much. We are always complaining about something , especially about the things we do not have or the bad things that are happening to us. When people listen to us, they think that nothing good ever happens to us and that perpetually it is evil that we are faced with all our lives. We always  think that the grass is always greener on the other side and that we are not having a good deal from God Almighty.. 

                                              But David  in Psalm 145:16 extols God  : “Thou openest thine hand, and satisfies the desire of every living thing” . God satisfies the desires of every living thing because He is  good.  Infact, the Bible declares that  “The earth is full of the goodness of the LORD” (Ps. 33:5). We have such a wonderful God whose goodness cannot be measured by anything, whether on earth, whether in Heaven, everywhere. He is so good that it is not possible to measure the depth and extent of his goodness.
Therefore, why does man spend his time complaining whole day ? Why is our perspective of life gloomy whole day ? The reason is that we have not given  the goodness of God a thought. The reason is that we have not given the goodness of God a try. I love the hymn so much that goes like this 

“When upon life’s billows you are tempest tossed/Do not be discouraged thinking all is lost/count your many blessings/ Name them one by one/ And it will surprise you what the Lord has done . Count your blessings, name them one by one/count your blessings, see what The Lord has done./count your blessings/Name them one by one/And it will surprise you what The Lord has done.
Are you ever burdened with a load of care ?/Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear ?/count your many blessings , every doubt will fly/And you will keep singing as the days go by.
So amidst the conflict whether great or small/ Do not be disheartened , God is above all /count your many blessings , angels will attend/ Help and comfort give you to your journey’s end “.

 Oh, I love this hymn. It would seem like anytime I sing it I cry because it brings vividly to my mind all the good things that God has done for me from birth to this date. When I sit down at times and think about how God always comes through for me..sometimes i can't help it but cry, They is also this shona hymn called "ndinoshamiswa kwazvo" that song takes me places, like my soul completely finds peace in the lord whenever i hear that song....  

Let us learn to look more at the things we are getting freely from God. Companies are busy laying off workers but God has blessed us with jobs. For those without jobs, at least you have your good health and you are alive. Do you know how many people have died today  ?  Thank God that you have life. The economic situation is bleak and newspapers and TVs report everyday about the suffering and misery going on all over the world. But we must thank God that in the face of it all, we are blessed with the gift of life.

Do not wait until it is too late to appreciate your many blessings! Today’s GOOD NEWS is that God is always at work in our bodies, minds, and spirits. The very fact that we are “clothed and in our right minds” and reading this, means that God has been very good to us! Let us celebrate God’s many benefits and share them with others!



When next there is a tendency to complain about your lot, pause and begin to count the things that you have or have accomplished, and you will see that God has done for you. .. 
I encourage you to count your blessings, specifically, one by one. It helps you focus on the good things, and put the bad things in proper perspective. Write down all the things God has done in your life and all the times God has answered your prayers. God always has a plan and when you go through trials read what you wrote and know He allows things to happen for a reason, He knows what is best.
If He helped you before He will help you again. He will never forsake His people. Thank God for His promises that He never breaks. Continually draw near Him and remember without Christ you have nothing. If you've not counted your blessings lately, try it. It really works! You'll feel better, trust God more, be happier, and rejoice in the Lord. 

 i say to you again , “Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your many blessings, see what God has done!
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord has done.”

sometimes the lord will have to break you to mould you into his very likness

Lord make me and mold me into the person You want me to be. The Bible says in Isaiah 64:8 that He is the potter and we are the clay.  Let's be who He wants us to be!!!!! Why do my lips sing, “Break me, melt me, mold me, fill me” yet my selfish heart cries, “Bless me, extol me, affirm me, approve me, provide for me?” Could it be that I tend to forget one of Scriptures truest principles? God develops the fruit of the Holy Spirit in our lives by allowing us to experience circumstances in which we are tempted to express the exact opposite quality.  God wants to teach us biblical love by putting unlovely people around us. God’s classroom for teaching us  genuine joy is the place of sorrow. It is in the midst of chaos and confusion that you discover real peace. God is collecting your tears -psalm 56:8

GOD KNOWS!!! Your tears have a voice  and they get God's attention. whatever concerns you ,,,concerns him and he collects the tears that scream his name. In that moment of mixed emotions, I desperately needed God’s comfort and reassurance, and I found it in Psalm 56:8. "You keep track of all my sorrows.You have collected all my tears in your bottle.You have recorded each one in your book." I love the image of God keeping all my tears in a bottle. I can envision shelves filled with bottles in Heaven, each with a name on it, and an accompanying scroll documenting every tear and lament.  I wonder, does my bottle have my name on it?  Is it a special color?  I wonder if God, my Father looks at my bottle full of tears and says, “Ah, that one is my daughter, Gracy’s! Her bottle of tears is so precious to me and I treasure each one.
