A SATISFIED SOUL

“Then you shall call, and the LORD will answer; You shall cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am. ’ “If you take away the yoke from your midst, The pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness,  if you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness and your gloom be as the noonday.  The LORD will guide you continually, And satisfy your soul in drought, And strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.” Isaiah 58:9, 11 NKJV  Do you ever feel like your prayers are going nowhere? How do we pray in such a way that God not only hears our prayers but answers them? Isaiah gives us a clue. We need to remove the yoke of sin, drop the finger pointing, and speaking wickedness. STAND LIKE JEREMIAH

See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, To root out and to pull down, To destroy and to throw down, To build and to plant.”” ““Therefore prepare yourself and arise, And speak to them all that I command you. Do not be dismayed before their faces, Lest I dismay you before them. “They will fight against you, But they shall not prevail against you. For I am with you,” says the LORD, “to deliver you.””  Jeremiah 1:10,17, 19 NKJV There is no harder calling in serving Jesus than the Jeremiah calling. He was called to speak truth and stand for righteousness in the face of adversity. It wasn’t easy and that’s part of the reason Jeremiah was known as the weeping prophet. He was in Jerusalem when it fell to Babylon. He was the one standing before wicked kings and priests calling them out before God.
